Bridstow Herefordshire

Today I travelled over the county border to Herefordshire to the village of Bridstow just outside Ross-on-Wye to style the hair for Rebecca and her bridal party.

Having had an unsettled summer it was great to have a Saturday which was sunny!!

Rebecca had decided on a side Chignon style where the hair is taken over to one side and styled into a intricate knot style, very simple in looks yet incredibly elegant and classical.

I also styled the hair for both bridesmaids, one styled into elegant curls down and the other one twisted into a french pleat/roll at the back and then Rebecca's Mother Deborah who chose a beautiful fascinator to compliment her bob hairstyle.

Clare (Pure Pampering) was with me to do the make-up for the wedding party and as ever she did a fabulous job!
The photographer that Rebecca had booked was Russell Lewis who was the photographer for one of my friends weddings several years ago. If you haven't yet booked a photographer then try to get hold of Russell, he is fantastic at his job, really professional, a great guy and a fantastic photographer.
Clare and I finished the fine details of the hair and make up once Rebecca had got into her dress, as a vintage car drew up on the drive to collect the bride for her trip to the church down the road from the family house.

Another busy weekend!

After last weekends marathon weekend styling hair for 5 different brides and their wedding parties this weekend has proved to be almost as busy!

Friday saw me driving over to the village of Standish near to Stonehouse to style Heather's hair for her wedding. Clare Bryce from Pure Pampering arrived about an hour after me to do Heather's make-up.
Once Clare had finished Heather's make-up they went upstairs to put on the wedding dress and once they had done that I added the finishing touches to the hair by arranging individual fresh flowers into the hairstyle to create a stunning side feature.

Saturday was spent doing trial runs for 2 different brides. In the morning I was in Brockworth doing a trial run for Laura and her 2 bridesmaids, I spent just over 3 hours with the girls working out different hairstyles for each one for the October wedding at the fabulous Dumbleton Hall.
In the afternoon I drove to Long Ashton just South of Bristol to do a trial for Helen for her October wedding at the Bristol Marriott Royal, a stunning 4 star hotel near Clifton.

Tomorrow will see me doing another trial run for an October wedding, I'll be travelling up to Birmingham to do a trial for Ruth's wedding. It's certainly proving to be a very busy wedding year!
